Social Media is part of our world and impacts lives daily. Students feel the impact of social media even more than adults. MHS will host a community sponsored parent night on January 10th and school assembly on January 11th. (fb_img_1641162334913.jpg)Our "Think Before You Post? power of social media tour has become quite popular across Kansas being in over 180+ high schools/junior highs since fall of 2019. Our message is great for anyone who has a cell phone to talk about social media etiquette, viral posting, digital citizenship, online reputation, online criminal activity, texting/driving, positive and negatives of social media, how to communicate without your phone/ipad/devices, cyber bullying, networking and much more. Its eye opening and of course the kids listen to what we have to say because they are familiar with us and what we do at Sports in Kansas. While the message has nothing to do with sports really, we grab their attention from who/what we are. We've had great discussions at these and really get kids/teachers/staff thinking. The message is relevant for all 6th-12th graders. | |
